Cold Frame with Automatic Vent

The automatic vent panel was introduced in 2014 after three years of perfecting the function. The vent is attached to the back panel making it independent from the lid. The manual venting on the lid allows for access to water, harvest, and tend to plants with six locking vent adjustments. With the automatic vent, we have reduced the human error factor substantially. The sunny spring day you forgot to open the manual venting or the day you thought the sun was not coming out, the back panel will open as the temperature gets too warm and close as needed. There is no electricity required and operates through a combination of waxes that expand and contract with the fluctuation of temperature
